PCR = Polymerase Chain Reaction 

อาศัยหลักการของการจำลองตัวเองของ DNA (DNA replication) โดยทำให้เกิดภายในหลอดทดลอง (in vitro)แบบซ้ำๆกันหลายรอบ โดยปฏิกริยาในแต่ละรอบของ PCR  ประกอบด้วย 3 ขั้นตอนหลัก ได้แก่

1. Danaturation เป็ยการแยกสาย DNA ให้เป็นสายเดี่ยว

2. Primer anealing  เป็นกระบวนการที่ primer 2 สายไปจับคู่สมบน DNAที่เป็น template

3. Primer extension เป็นการต่อของลำดับ nucleotide เข้าที่ปลายของ primer โดยอาศัยการทำงานของเอนไซม์

PCR song เป็นเพลงที่ใช้แนะนำเครื่องมือในการทำ PCR ซึ่งน่ารักดี เป็นการนำเสนอที่แปลกไปอีกแบบ
